MileIQ Premium is Included with Office 365?

I little known (at least to me) tidbit of information I ran across today that I wanted to share with everyone.  Who knew that Office 365 includes MileIQ Premium if you have either and E3 or E5 license in Office 365?  I certainly didn’t, until today.  I honest can’t even remember where I came across it today.

Once I saw it, I vaguely remember when Microsoft bought Mile IQ, but I don’t think at the time anything was set up with Office 365.  I’ve actually used MileIQ in the past as well to track my mileage for tax purposes at the end of the year, but quit using it due to limitations with a free subscription and it not being worth it for me to pay for premium at the time.

Using your Office 365 License for MilleIQ

When I found out it was included with Office 365 E3 and E5 I figured I should go look into it.  Sure enough, it works! I now have a premium subscription to MileIQ and it was super easy to setup!

  1. Go to www.mileiq.com/office365
  2. Click either “Create Account” or “Sign In” on this page, don’t try to do it from any other page within the MileIQ site, it won’t work.
  3. Follow the steps and it will walk you through verifying your Office 365 account and subscription and either set up your new MileIQ premium account or associate your current account to your Office 365 account and upgrade you to a premium subscription for free!

Again, something I was unaware of until just the last couple days and something I don’t feel like Microsoft does a great job of promoting.  Enjoy this little nugget and let me know if you know of any other services that Microsoft has purchased like this where you can get add functionality for free with your Office 365 license.
